In this fun pottery class, children ages 7–13 will design and build their very own bee watering station. Bees require a steady water source to hydrate the colony, dilute honey for larvae and cool down the hive on hot summer days. Providing a safe station keeps them from relying on your neighbour’s pool (where they risk drowning) or water sources tainted with pesticides. Once built it can be placed in backyard or similar location giving polinators a landing souce of fresh water.
Our goal is to have our watering stations built during the first class and ready to be glazed for the second class. Participants will be emailed when they are ready to bee picked up.
